Work Conference 2025

In january of 2025 the first work conference of the cjhnt project will take place in Wittenberg.

Take a look at what we achieved in the first six months.

Kick-off CJHNT digital

The conference is the official project kick-off for existing CJHNT project staff who wish to continue to support the project in the future or even make a concrete contribution. We also welcome potential contributors who are not yet familiar with the project. In addition to the presentation of the project's work to date, newer aids for dealing with Jewish-Hellenistic sources will be presented. The focus will be on online databases.

Since April 2024, a research project of the Saxon Academy of Sciences in Leipzig has been dedicated to the complete digital documentation of the testimonies of Hellenistic Judaism and the commentary on the writings of the New Testament in the light of these Jewish traditions. The project is part of the Academies' Program, which is currently the largest long-term research program in the humanities and cultural sciences in the Federal Republic of Germany, funded by the federal and state governments and coordinated by the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities.
