To the CJHNTdigital-platform
Read texts from the CJH in various languages, the commentary on selected early Jewish sources or delve deeper into the study of ancient Judaism.
The Corpus Judaeo-Hellenisticum (CJH ) includes the entirety of the surviving literary, non-literary and material evidence of early (pre-rabbinic) Judaism (including the Qumran finds) as it developed under the conditions of the Hellenistic-Roman world between around 300 BC and 200 AD. The aim of the project is the complete recording, digital documentation and commentary evaluation of the CJH with regard to its significance for the interpretation of the New Testament from the roots of Judaism, which was shaped by Greco-Roman culture. The current project will create a digital multilingual research platform for ancient studies that will enable the realization of the project for the first time and at the same time implement interfaces for a sustainable continuation of the research work with regard to further corpora of ancient sources and integrate existing databases and digital tools. In addition to the digital platform, a commentary series in book form is to be produced.
