"Those having a race..." (1 Cor 9:24) - Firmenlauf 2026

On the 17th of June, this year's company run [Firmenlauf] took place in Leipzig, in which Andrej Lacko, a member of the CJHNTdigital team, represented the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Leipzig. A total of 22,074 runners lined up at the start of the 5km course.

Torsten Woitkowitz (SAW) reports (translated): "Our team's start was at 7:20 p.m. Shortly before the start, the runners warmed up: arms up, jumping..., really fired up by the sound from the speakers, a fantastic atmosphere. Because of the large starting group, our team, as I found out, only crossed the start line around 7:30 p.m.

Then everyone gradually arrived back at the agreed spot at our beer table, all happy about what they had accomplished, and then bought something to eat and drink at the food stalls, and then we sat together for a while, chatting and looking out over the assembled crowd wearing the running shirts of all kinds of different companies, until people from our team gradually said their goodbyes. At 10 p.m. the music on the grounds ended and the stage lights went out, and teardown work began. Even so, some teams stayed on at the site a while longer.
